Job Vacancy: PROCESS SHIFT MANAGER
Process shift Manager - Warrington - 12 month contract - (possibility of extension for a further 12 months)
The Process shift manager has responsibility for the safe operation of production plants through the management of a team of manufacturing technicians.
Ensuring that safety, quality, output, cost and environmental requirements are achieved as well as ensuring that individual team members are competent to perform the tasks required of them.

Primary Accountabilities
* Responsible for implementing the production plans whilst ensuring that safety, environmental and quality standards are met during operation and maintenance activities.
* Responsible for controlling plant operating costs to meet business targets.
* Responsible for regular evaluation of the competence of individual team members and identifying training needs where applicable.
* Lead team members in identifying solutions to manufacturing problems.
* Support teams in identification of improvement opportunities. Lead team in implementing changes to achieve improvement.
* Responsible for communicating effectively with team members and management of standards of discipline, welfare and housekeeping. Review plant operating practice and procedures and implement changes where necessary.
* Act as incident controller and/or emergency team leader when required. Investigate all incidents and submit report to Operations Manager.
Qualifications/Experience
Essential:
* A degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
* Alternatively a HNC/HND in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a high hazard chemical processing environment may be acceptable.
* To have demonstrated the ability to lead and motivate.
* Good technical understanding of plants and processes
Desirable:
NVQ Level 4 in Management Studies or equivalent.
