Overview:
A highly motivated and experienced front-line manager with excellent technical, supervisory and inter-personal skills and a proven track record in manufacturing in both the chemical and food processing industries. A strong team player, with the abilities to both lead and motivate his own team as well as performing as part of a larger team.

Key Skills:
• Managing, developing and leading a team of multi disciplined operators, in varied environments, including on a complex, top-tier COMAH chemical manufacturing site.
• Strong technical background, which is drawn upon to problem solve.
• Emergency controller for site in an emergency out of normal day hours, Incident controller for site during normal day hours.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues, both technical and people, achieving successful outcomes. Logical problem solver.
• Laboratory analytical experience.
• Technical writing, including operating manuals and instructions.
• Determined and decisive; uses initiative to meet and resolve challenges.
• Information technology (MS Windows, MS Office, Visio, SAP).

Qualifications:
BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and Industrial Management Studies

Additional Training:
Holds NVQ Level 3 in Information Technology.
Conversant with – Windows 98, 2000, XP and NT, WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK, ACCESS, VISIO.
DCS system programming – Foxboro Foxbatch and I/A Batch systems.
Basic knowledge of UNIX and SAP.
Experience of laboratory testing including GLC, TLC and classical analysis.
Current B/A certificate, and trained in Industrial Fire-fighting by Merseyside Fire Brigade Training School.
Hazop, Risk and COSHH assessment trained.
