Are you an experienced Mechanical Designer looking for your next career move? We’re recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join a well-established engineering team working on major projects across multiple sectors, including pharmaceutical, power, energy, and infrastructure.
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will:
- Develop detailed mechanical drawings, including 3D models, 2D arrangements, plot plans, and pipework designs.
- Support laser scanning and site surveys, producing key schedules such as line, valve, and tie-in lists.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide on-site assistance during installation and attend regular project meetings.
- Maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all design stages.
What We’re Looking For
- HNC (or higher) in a relevant discipline; professional membership advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design and 3D modelling.
- Strong knowledge of pipe specifications, design constraints, fabrication, and pressure vessel codes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, CADWorx/Plant3D, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with laser scanning and site surveys.
- A collaborative, team-focused approach within multi-disciplinary environments.
- Willingness to obtain HORUS security clearance (essential for this role).
